BACK in Freddi’s cabin, the Professor skipped around,

focused on his tinkering routine. Terry tore the false

mustache painfully from his lip, tossed it to the floor, and

began pacing. Freddi slipped back into the Time Stream, and

the Professor leaned on the counter, seemingly pleased with

his efforts.

“Are you going to tell me what all that was about?” Terry

bellowed, his frustration finally getting the better of him.

“It’s not unusual for pirates to attack another pirate

vessel. Quite common, actually,” the Professor replied

calmly. The time traveler’s nonchalance only served to

exacerbate Terry’s mood.

“Not the attack! The kissing! Why was I on that ship

with that pirate?” Terry continued to pace frantically.

“Fin,” the Professor corrected. “His name is Fin.”

“I don’t care what his name is!”

“Ah, but you will.”

“Why?” Terry pleaded at the top of his lungs.

“Isn’t it obvious?”

“No!”

“You’re in love.”

“Am not!”

“Well, no, of course not. Not yet,” the Professor said

before removing the disc from Terry’s head and the Wand

from Terry’s hand.

Terry waited for the Professor to explain further, but he

only pocketed his reacquired possessions and flipped up into

his hammock.

Terry growled incoherently, his fists trembling in the air.

The Professor giggled but said nothing. A sudden undeniable

pressure occurred in Terry’s kidneys, forcing him to change

the subject.

“Does this time machine have a bathroom?”
